Reviews
This bar is a little hidden treasure, I was so happy to stumble upon it. Off the main track, cool locals, lovely staff. Danke.
Also, a cracking pint of Guinness.
A real local place where not a lot of tourists come, was there on Sunday when Borusia was playing so it was full of locals the pub itself is small around 30 people would fit inside, they have tables outside, but the weather was not that great for them. Beer prices are better than in places nearby 0,4L of beer was 3,6€-4€, if you are planning to visit this place eat elsewhere first as it only has snacks to beer like: Nuts, pretzels, sausages. Could not taste the last one but pretzels where 1,50€ and came in a jar and peanuts 1€ where vacume sealed.
A little, traditional, local bar with various different drinks, but no food.
Children are welcome and the staff were friendly to our children.
We sat outside on a big table behind the church, but this was right next to a car park.
The toilets are very small, but clean and modern.
This building is not wheelchair -friendly.
Lovely pub with great atmosphere and beer, would recommend - but remember to bring cash!
Hi to Sandra and staff at the Bar.Thanks for 2 really enjoyable evenings sampling your wonderful beer in a great pub ! We are the 3 English Men (who were there during Feb) who you may remember and never allowed to have an empty glass....Cheers !!
Decent bar. Very classic 'kneiper' stayle bar of the area. Often super busy and not much room. Probably not one to visit in the evening if you don't speak German (loud, slow English won't work).
Stayed in Dortmund a few times when watching football but never visited this place.
Last month stayed in Dortmund on our way to Frankfurt to watch Tottenham and walking around found this place.
A wonderful typical German pub as I remember them from years ago.
If you like tradition and are in Dortmund then look out for this place and you won't be disappointed.
Great little bar, old school.
